Product Review | Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Color Wheel Palette
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Color Wheel Palette ($44, Sephora, Limited Holiday 2016 Edition)
This is a 10-color blush palette that is similar to their individually packaged blush with shades specific only to this color wheel. According to the Tarte website, these are long-wearing, supremely soft blush infused with Amazonian clay harvested from the banks of the Amazon River and naturally baked by the sun. Amazonian clay minimizes oil in and around pores to balance skin and keep product in place while also hydrating the skin naturally to restore moisture, reducing the appearance of dry, flaky skin. blush universally benefits all skin types for a fade-free, flawless finish in shades ranging from soft to vivid and matte to shimmer to suit a wide variety of skin tones.
This is my first Tarte Amazonian Clay blush ever. Why it took me so long to buy one, I have no idea. However, I am glad that I purchased this blush color wheel. The packaging is exquisite. I love the purple, white and gold swirls. I also love that there are ten blushes in this palette. The top part of the palette has more peach/
/coral/pink tones with a pale blush topper or highlighter. There is a clear plastic film that separates the top and the bottom of the palette, which I appreciate. The bottom part of the palette has more muted rose and earthy tones and one light shade that can be used as a highlighter or blush topper.
I have used these blushes and everytime, they have stayed on all day (I always use a setting spray). They are pigmented, easy to apply and blend. They are also not powdery. I love the variety of shades and the two lighter shades that can be used as highlighters, as this makes the palette very versatile. The case itself is sturdy which makes it travel friendly. Overall, the quality of the blush itself is amazing, it is definitely worth the $44 price tag. The only downside is the shades on this palette are all limited edition and are not part of the regular collection.
