Product Review | E.L.F. Hydrating Gel Mask

Product Review | E.L.F. Hydrating Gel Mask ($12, E.L.F. website) : Taken from the product packaging, this is a clear hydrating gel mask that helps smooth and nourish skin. Infused with Purified Water,  Aloe, Coconut and Chia Seed.  The cooling formula helps revitalize skin and retain moisture for a healthy looking glow.

If you follow me on Instagram (@happyhr247), you already know that I took advantage of E.L.F.'s 50% sale before 2016 ended and I bought a handful skincare items including this Hydrating Gel Mask.  The E.L.F. Skincare Line was a brand new release sometime in 2016.  I love the entire skincare line's packaging which is a teal-green frosted packaging.  The material is made out of sturdy frosted acrylic which has the feel of glass without the heavy weight.  However, the packaging feels very nice, sleek, high-end and definitely not cheaply made.  You get 1.76 Oz of product for $12, which is reasonable.  E.L.F. is known for its affordability and this one is no exception.

The mask is a white gel-like cream with a thick consistency but it still feels light to the touch.  The instructions says to apply a thick layer on face and wait 10 minutes prior to rinsing.  I used the E.L.F. Spatula tool to apply this mask and it is easy to use as well.  The product applied smoothly and evenly with the spatula.  It has a soothing and non-greasy feel on the skin.  I use this product once a week, usually on Saturday mornings, followed by the E.L.F. Smoothing Serum.  This Hydrating Mask leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and hydrated, hence the name of the product.  I was very surprised with the overall quality of this hydrating mask especially coming from E.L.F.

Would I repurchase? Yes.  The only thing I do not like about the E.L.F. line in general is that their website has a complete inventory of their new releases so you would have to get it from there.  E.L.F. is sold at Target, and now at Walgreens and CVS but they do not have the entire new product releases.  Now if you are fortunate like I am to live in an area where there is an actual E.L.F. store, that is your best bet because the stores have testers which will save you the trouble from purchasing the wrong shade and having to return them through mail or in-store.
