Product Review | Kiko Milano Fall 2.0 Highlighter
Product Review | Kiko Milano Fall 2.0 Highlighter in Gold In Progress 01 ($15, Kiko Milano website and Kiko Stores)
Product Details (from Kiko Milano's website): Baked strobing face highlighter. Thanks to its baked texture, both lightweight and fine, this powder melts easily into skin, making it silky to the touch, whilst the formula's sophisticated pearls provide natural radiance.
Review: Kiko Milano releases a limited edition collection every season: fall, winter/holiday, spring and summer and their packaging always gets to me. A year ago they released a collection in gold packaging, their holiday collection was in red, their spring packaging was in white, the summer collection was in a nude pink packaging and now, fall 2.0 is in a pretty midnight blue packaging. One thing I have to say is they have managed to keep their beautiful packaging while maintaining a decent price for their products. Kiko also has sales from 10% to 50% every now and then, as always, those are the times I take advantage of their new and past releases. Shipping time is between 5-7 days but it is free anything over $15 so I cannot really complain.
The packaging is in a sleek high shine finish box in midnight blue, black and a hint of gold along with gold typography. The compact is a high shine midnight blue color with a mirror inside. It contains 3.5g of product for $15 which I feel is a fair price point. This is a smaller compact than most Kiko products I have purchased. Their face bronzers always come in huge packaging.
The formula of this highlighter is beautiful - soft pressed but not a lot of kick up. It feels very smooth and velvety to the touch. It applies evenly on the skin without any chunky glitter. Just as it claims - it is lightweight and gives the skin a natural radiance as you will see on the swatch below. I love baked highlighters due to their texture and natural looking finish without compromising the highlighting component of the product. It is a very natural peachy-gold (more gold than peach) shade that compliments many skin tones. Even though it is on the peach-gold tone, because of its airy texture, someone with a lighter skin tone will be able to use this shade and pull it off.
Would I repurchase? Yes.
