Review:  This was the last Fenty product I picked up after my splurge Sephora vacation shopping in New Jersey in September (I picked it up along with the Kilawatt Highlighter Duos).  I am a huge fan of the Beauty Blender and have back-ups but I am always curious to find a good high end dupe for the famous and life-changing beauty sponge (if you haven't checked out my reviews on drugstore dupes, check them out by searching the blog - L'Oreal Infallible Blending Sponge and Ecotools Beauty Sponge are good alternatives).  I tried the Tarte and Japonesque sponges as possible high end dupes but I did not like either products so I did not even bothered doing a review.

If you have read my Fenty Beauty reviews, the box packaging of the sponge is similar to the foundation and primer, this one is just a smaller box.  The sponge is packaged in a small clear plastic inside the box.  The size of the sponge when dry is very small, similar to the Beauty Blender.  When wet or dampened, it expands but not too much, which I like.  I particularly liked the softness and "bounce" of the sponge, which makes it easy to use, apply and blend liquid products.  The sponge has three different shapes - a small flat top, a larger slanted side and rounded side and bottom.  The picture below shows the sponge next to the Ecotools Beauty Sponge just to compare size and somewhat similar slanted, rounded and flat shape.

I have watched various reviews on YouTube about this product and I really think, like anything else, it is all about preference.  I like the way this sponge performs and it I like how I can use the slanted top and side to apply and blend under eye concealer.   I personally do not feel that it soaks up a lot of product and I like a sheer to light application of foundation or any liquid face product so this does the job for me.  I wash my sponges daily and so far this is easy to clean.  I have used this for a week and seems to hold up pretty good.  I will post an update on how long I used this product before replacing it.

Would I repurchase? Yes.  I think this is a good alternative to the Beauty Blender if you are planning on purchasing something that is a non-drugstore brand.
