Review:  I picked this up because my favorite cleansing balm from NYX was no longer being carried at Ulta, thankfully, it is still available on the NYX website and Beauty Joint.   I typically have enjoyed Pixi products and thought that this would be another good find despite its high price of $20 for a drugstore brand.  This does not come with a box packaging but it was shrink wrapped properly.  The balm is housed in a plastic tub, similar to the NYX cleansing balm.  It has the sage green, white and gold typography that is seen on all Pixi brands.

The product itself was really moisturizing and non-stripping.  It took away the rest of my makeup except for waterproof mascara which I had to do a few more times.  A couple of things that I really did not like about this product that became deal breakers were the smell and that it was difficult to take off with water.  When I read that it has sweet almond oil and cocoa butter, I imagined a nice smell like most cocoa butter scented products.  However, it was just not that.  It smelled almost floral to me, must be the sweet almond oil but I have had products with almond scents and they just smelled different.  The directions on this cleanser says that you have to wipe it off with a cloth or some type of towel (i.e. paper towel, cloth towel) and I knew that before hand but somehow I thought I could still use water to take it off.  That was not the case.  It was so greasy and difficult to take off with water.  I do not like that I have to take it off with a cloth or towel and then have to wash my face with water to get rid of any excess product.  The NYX Cleansing balm had a scent but nothing too strong and it can easily be washed off with water.

Would I repurchase? Nope.
