Product Review | Benefit Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation
Product Review | Benefit Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation in Shade Number 7 ($29, Ulta, Sephora and Benefit online store)
Product Details (from Ulta's website): Hello YOU!
Benefit's Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation evens out skin tone and blurs imperfections with soft-focus optical blurring spheres. The lightweight & buildable formula is easy to apply & flashback free, PLUS it contains Shea Extract, an ingredient known to smooth & help protect skin. With a natural-matte finish and light-to-medium coverage, Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation looks like skin and feels like nothing at all! Now available in easy-to-choose shades.
Review: The packaging of the foundation is simple, somewhat dull, as it mimics the shade of a foundation with white typography and the shade number in pink. The product is contained in a plastic squeeze bottle, similar to the Dior Backstage Foundation, only this one is is not a rounded container. It has a reflective pink cap along with two hearts and a smile art on the front. The design is geared to a younger crowd in my opinion but it is eye-catching and fun at the same time. I did not purchase this foundation because of the packaging and design but simply because it is lightweight. I am running out of my It Cosmetics CC Cream but somehow I am not as inclined to repurchase it as I used to when I first started using it.
Please keep in mind that I do have normal skin very no texture issues hence I prefer lightweight type of products. I love the lightweight feel on the skin. It looks very natural and it blends easily. The product is absorbed by the skin thus making it look like second skin. It also wears for at least a good eight hours and then some. I am not a fan of the squeeze bottle as the foundation is slightly thin so it can be messy at times - I prefer a pump. I am also not happy about the 12 shade selection. If drugstore brands can produce at least 20 shades, so should Benefit. Other than that, I recommend this foundation especially if you like a lightweight, everyday type of product that does not clog your pores.
