Product Review | By Terry Hyalauronic Hydra-Primer ($55, Beautylish)
Product Details (from Beautylish's website): The first step for flawless skin, this Hyaluronic Acid mousse gives a luminous matte complexion with perfect translucency. It diminishes the appearance of wrinkles, pores and imperfections to reveal a flawless nude-skin, a colorless correction of the complexion.
Review: By Terry was one of the brands I wanted to try in 2018 and so far, I have been impressed with the items I have picked up from Beautylish. I love primers because not only do they extend the wear of my makeup, I also use them as skincare. I specifically enjoy primers with vitamins and nutrients added and not to forget, Hyaluronic Acid which helps with alleviating dry skin and reducing the appearance of fine lines.
The packaging is in a high shine blue-toned purple box with silver typography. The product is housed in a squeeze tube with a matte packaging in purple, silver and white plus a silver twist cap. The product is a white cream with a mousse-like consistency. At first, I was skeptical due to the "luminous matte" claims since they are exact opposites. However, the HA ingredient had me sold. It is easy to apply and it is lightweight. It does not make the skin feel greasy or oily. It absorbs quickly on the skin and does not sit on top of it like some products. It is perfect on its own as a skincare product. I love how it extends the wear of my makeup and it keeps my skin radiant with a natural finish. I haven't seen if it really does diminish the appearance of wrinkles but I'm not really in for that type of claims because as we get older, it is just part of the process. If you are into primers with skincare benefits and want to splurge, I would recommend this one. However, if you have a skin type that requires less maintenance, I would recommend the Jouer Anti-Aging Primer which is $25 cheaper and just as good.
