Product Review | BH Cosmetics Studio Pro HD Brow Pencil in Medium ($7, BH Cosmetics website, Ulta)

Review: The Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Brown is my holy grail brow pencil.  I usually purchase a few back up during Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty Sale event.  I have tried a few brow pencils just to see if they are on par with ABH (it's the same thing I do with any Beauty Blender wannabes).  Some are close but not enough for me to call a dupe or use alongside ABH on a regular basis.  

A few weeks ago I received a few complimentary products to try from BH Cosmetics including brushes, a few face products and a couple of brow pencils in Medium & Brunette (the medium shade matched me better).  The packaging is a black soft matte finish box with white typography.  The pencil itself is all black with silver typography as well along with a spooley on one end and the pencil on the other that twists up, which is essentially just like the ABH Brow Wiz.  

The pencil has a precise tip to outline the brown and draw hair-like strokes to make the brows look fluffy and natural.  The spooley is easy to use and brushes brow hairs with ease.  The formula is just like ABH - not to waxy but not to dry.  Just a perfect in between.  It lasts all day and does not fade.

Below are the swatches of a few brow pencils I own.  The top swatches are the BH Cosmetics Brow Pencil and the ABH Brow Wiz.  You cannot even tell the difference between the two.  The bottom swatches are the Wet N' Wild Brow Pencil and the Kokie Brow Pencil.  These two are in the shade Soft Brown.  They have a softer and slightly waxy formula, as you can see on the swatches, towards the end, there are some patchy and/or chunks. 

I definitely recommend the BH Cosmetics Studio Pro HD Brow Pencil.  In my opinion, it is the best dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz.  You can buy three for the price of one ABH Brow Wiz or even more if it is on sale on the BH Cosmetics website.
