Product Review | Fresh Beauty Rose Deep Hydrating Sleeping Mask

Product Review | Fresh Beauty Rose Deep Hydrating Sleeping Mask ($50, Sephora)

Product Details (from Sephora's website):  A two-step mask that delivers continuous hydration overnight, drenching skin with moisture and then locking it in for a supple, dewy look.  This next-level sleeping mask is proven to give you the appearance of plumper, smoother skin after as little as one night of use. Start by replenishing moisture with a cooling gel essence powered by rosewater, damask rose extract, and hyaluronic acid. Then lock it in with a silky water-cream mask that uses time-release technology.

Review:  This is a complimentary product sent by Influenster for review and testing purposes only.  No monetary compensation was involved.  I had mixed feelings about this product for two reasons: One, I love skincare items, especially overnight masks.  Two, I am not a fan of rose scented products. I was not too keen on trying this one out, if I am being honest.  My favorite items from Fresh Beauty are there perfumes.  I am allergic to a lot of scents but there are two that I can use:  Hespiredes Grapefruit and Sugar Lychee.

The box packaging is a nice blush pink color.  The actual packaging is glass jar with two parts, one for the gel and the other the water-cream mask.  The screw cap is a pink one while the rest of the jar has the blush pink tone.  I have used this product for over a week (I typically test skincare products a minimum of one week to two weeks to be able to give an accurate review or give it a fair shot).

Oddly enough, the rose scent is not very powerful.  It is actually a faint one which works for me.  The cooling gel appears to be thick but it is very lightweight on the skin.  It is easy to apply and blends well using the fingers.  The water-cream mask is also lightweight on the skin and it is non-greasy.  This sleeping mask makes the skin feel hydrated and soft the next day.  It provides the skin a natural radiance with continued use.  I was surprised how I actually loved using this sleeping mask.  As mentioned earlier, I was not too excited about it in the beginning.

Would I recommend this product?  Only if you would like to splurge and if you have an extremely dry or problematic skin that needs a lot of attention.  Even though I received this product for free, this comes with a hefty retail price of $50.  I have normal skin with very little to no problematic issues 99 percent of the time so I do not need products that require two-steps.  If I am being honest, the Laniege Water Sleeping Mask works incredibly well for my needs.  I would recommend the Laniege Water Sleeping Mask if you have the same skin type as I do with very little or no problematic areas at all to save you some money.  However, like I said, sometimes it is good to treat yourself with something good - so this would be that product!
