Product Details (from Chanel's website): The emblematic foundation base by CHANEL, an iconic favorite of professional makeup artists. Magical, it instantly illuminates the complexion with a subtle halo of light and perfectly evens out the skin's texture. Essential, it facilitates the application of foundation and prolongs its hold. Multi-use, it offers numerous makeup results.

Review:  Primers are my jam but many of you already know that, especially if you have been reading my blog or following me on Instagram for a while.  Another fact about me, anything that illuminates the skin, I am all about that life.  Enter Le Blanc De Chanel Multi-Use Illuminating Base.

Typical of most Chanel products, this comes in a satin finish box with white typography and gold trim.  The primer is contained in a frosted glass with a black cap and a pump.  This primer is has a consistency similar to the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer.  It's not too thick but not thin either.  When applied on the skin, the consistency thins out.  It does not feel too oily on the skin even thought it is an illuminating base.  I have worn this on hot and humid weather and also during a mild summer weather (69-72 degrees) and it did not break apart nor did it make my skin look shiny.  It has kept my makeup for a good 8hr work day and then some.  Since I use primers as a part of my skincare, not necessarily just to extend the wear of my makeup, I feel okay investing on luxury or higher end brands.  I definitely recommend this if you include your primers as a part of your skincare and or often use it alone.  Otherwise, the NYX Angel Veil Primer has a similar formula but not the same effect in terms of dewiness or illuminating properties.
