Review: Okay, so to be honest when I ordered this online, I didn't really read the product description. I saw the "No Filter Primer" and I instantly added it to my cart. For some reason, I was hoping it would be similar to the Fenty Beauty Pro Filtr Instant Retouch Primer (which is a favorite of mine). After receiving this item, I realized that it was a natural matte makeup primer. I don't typically use matte primers unless it is during the summer months but I had high hopes since I love their Hyaluronic Hydrating Primer from their Pretty Fresh line.
The packaging is once again very simple but classy - a white box packaging with nude/cream coloring with white and nude/cream typography. The primer is contained in a clear squeeze tube with a white screw cap. The primer is a nude/cream color with a cream/lotion consistency. Upon immediate touch, the primer feels moisturizing. However, as it warms up on your finger or skin, you can feel the consistency change into a matte finish. I initially used this primer with the Beauty Creations Flawless Stay Foundation and somehow I had a difficult time applying other liquid products on top of it. The the following day, I used it with a lighter coverage and a much more hydrating foundation. While I was blending both foundation and concealer on different times, I noticed that some areas became patchy that I had to reapply either foundation or concealer. This doesn't normally happen with the other primer/foundation combos that I use. Surprisingly, after fixing it with either a concealer or foundation application, the makeup looks good. I can definitely see a natural finish though. I try to use as much cream products as I can when I use this primer such as cream blush, cream bronzer and/or a liquid highlighter so it doesn't look too matte. It does extend the wear of my makeup which is a great thing. It is a great primer if you are looking for a natural matte finish. This is definitely something worth using during the summer months. It won't be something I'll be using on a daily basis year round. If you have oily skin, you might love this primer for every day use.
