Review: This product came without a box with it was shrink-wrapped. The product is contained in a light pink plastic bottle with white and a darker pink typography. The bottle also has a spray nozzle to dispense the product with a clear plastic cap. It is priced at $9 with 3.38 fl oz of product which is very reasonable. While this is a Mattifying Essence Spray, it claims that it is ideal for all skin types (I have normal skin type; but right now leaning more to Normal/Dry since the weather is slightly cooler in L.A.). It also claims that it isn't just a mattifying product but it also helps reduce redness and keeps the skin moisturized. I don't use this before makeup application; instead I use it as a setting spray if and when I am using all cream products (bronzer, blushes and highlighter included) to tone down the dewiness (my foundation are 95% dewy or illuminating). I feel that it works to soften the luminosity with a full-face of cream products. I like that it does not completely mattify my skin; but as I mentioned it softens it. The finish is still dewy but not too much. I haven't noticed any results in terms of redness reduction as I don't use this product for that reason. It does keep my skin hydrated which is pretty surprising for a Mattifying Essence. If you have oily skin, you might really like this product. I love that it does not completely make the face look tight or matte. Now, is this a must-have product? For someone like me, not really. It works but it is not necessary as my other setting sprays do their job pretty well. So while this is a good product, it is something I won't repurchase.
