Product Review | Caffeine Stimulating Scalp Treatment ($14.99, theinkeylisn.com - PR GIFTED)
Product Details (from The INKEY List's website): The hair on our scalp grows cyclically and follows three phases: a growth phase called the anagen phase, a regression phase called the catagen phase and a resting phase called the telogen phase. When, for a number of reasons, we experience thinning hair beyond normal shedding, this means hair is in a catagen phase.
Whilst we cannot fully prevent hair loss when this happens, we have created a unique formulation that works to keep hairs in the anagen phase, which is the phase in which hair grows.
The result? An overnight scalp treatment that uses caffeine powder and a new ingredient called Redensyl™ to help reduce and prevent hair loss by stimulating hair follicles, therefore encouraging hair growth and helping to improve hair thickness.
Review: As I have shared in my previous The INKEY List reviews, I have been a fan of their brand since discovering them in November. I was ecstatic when they reached out to me for more products to try. As I have mentioned in previous reviews of this brand, there is something about their black and white box packaging. Basic but its simplicity catches my eye. However, this one they added a splash of teal green on their box packaging. The bottle is also slightly different. Instead of the white with black typography; it is a black bottle with white typography and white cap.
I use this product mostly for hair growth and hair density. After many years of color-treated hair and using hot tools on my hair, it needs a lot of TLC. Flat iron makes the hair slicker but also thinner due to regular use. Since the pandemic, it took me almost a year and change to get a hair trim. Since then, I started using more hair repair serums, hair density treatments (I use the one from The Ordinary) and finally trying out this Caffeine Stimulating Scalp Treatment from the INKEY List. I love the lightweight consistency of this serum. It does not make my scalp and hair oily especially that it is an overnight treatment. The serum also does not transfer on my pillow which is a huge plus. Every time I have my hair down on some of my GRWM on IG stories, many have commented on how long my hair has grown. I can certainly attribute the hair growth to this product. Since using this product in December, I have seen a faster growth in my hair. The only thing I do not like about this product is it does not come with a dropper so it is not quite easy to apply on the scalp. It is not a deal breaker since the product comes out easily off the bottle; but a dropper would have been nice.
