Review:  After purchasing the Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Setting Powder last fall,  I did not think Pat McGrath can entice me with another powder.  This actually came in a kit with the concealer; the kit is $52 which is $10 cheaper but you can purchase the powder or concealer separately.  Now, the first thing I noticed is the packaging or lack of.  The entire Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection line comes in a black packaging box and this came in a gold plastic bag with a ton of gold sequins inside.  Whether Pat McGrath was trying to save trees by eliminating the box package, plastic isn't very environmentally friendly either.  What I am trying to say is I prefer a consistent packaging for an entire line.  The compact itself is a nice hard plastic with a mirror but it is small; almost like a mini size.

The powder itself is a pressed formula but it is pressed softly and somehow mimics a baked powder in my opinion.  I used this powder in combination with the Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Concealer and it works beautifully.  I have also used this powder with other concealers I own and it goes on smoothly.  The powder is finely milled so it really goes on top of liquids beautifully.  It is one of those powders that you can pack on any desired area but it is almost undetectable due to its silky texture.  It does leave a nice luminous veil on the skin leaving a lit from within finish.  I am impressed with this powder and really enjoy using it under the eye area.  The only cons I have are the packaging and the small size.  So for $30, it might be a little steep; however, it is from Pat McGrath and it works really well; at least that is my experience with this product.  Having said that, I highly recommend this product especially if you want a nice veil underneath the eye area without looking too cakey.
