Review:  Sephora Collection is one of the most underrated brands in the makeup industry.  They actually product very good brushes, skincare and makeup.  I recently followed @glamzilla as recommended by my friend @leahgperez on Instagram.  She did a live application review on this foundation and I was immediately smitten so I picked it up.  This foundation retails for $20 which is such a good value.  It did not come with a box but it was sealed in a shrink wrap.  The bottle is a frosted glass with a pump and a black cap. The pump is easy to press so the foundation can be dispensed without any issues which is a plus.  Some lower priced foundations come with low quality pumps so I am happy that this one did not.  I picked up the shade 31Y based on the photos online.  I probably could have gone a shade or two lower (29Y would've probably matched me better).

The consistency of this foundation is slightly thick.  When I say that, I don't mean it to be a full coverage consistency; but it's just not a runny one, if that makes sense.  One thing I noticed with this foundation is it dries faster so you have to work quicker and probably starting at one side of the face first.  When I first tried this foundation, I used a sponge and it did give me a very natural; skin-like finish that I always prefer.  The foundation wore nicely and it stayed put for hours.  I have a live-try on of this foundation on my Instagram Highlights under "SC Best Skin" and I also have a comparison try-on of this foundation versus the Fenty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint using only a brush (I use the Morphe E63).  You can find that comparison on my highlights under "Fenty + SC".

I honestly enjoyed both a sponge and brush application with this foundation.  Although, sponge is my daily go-to so it will most likely be my preferred way to apply it.  This foundation worked well with other products used on top of it without lifting.  It is a great foundation especially for its price so I recommend getting it if you are looking for a natural finish face base with skincare ingredients.  The skincare ingredients are what really made me buy this foundation aside from @glamzilla's live try-on.  It has HA and Red Algae Extracts for hydration and Brown Algae Extract as an anti-pollution protective shield.  If I am being honest, anything with anti-pollution ingredient will make me buy things these days.

Have you tried this foundation?  Do you like it?  If you haven't, will you be picking it up during the Sephora Spring VIB Sale?
