Boscia White Charcoal Mattifying Makeup Setting Spray 1 fl oz ($12, Sephora) :  According to the Sephora website, this setting spray locks makeup in place while visibly minimizing shine and pore size with the power of white charcoal. It provides continuous oil control for hydrated skin, all-day makeup wear, and a matte finish. The fine mist sets makeup as it simultaneously treats the skin with a blend of effective botanical ingredients known for their absorbent properties. It minimizes the appearance of enlarged pores instantly and over time by increasing skin elasticity and brightening the pore wall. Vitamin-rich, antioxidant black tea also works to protect skin against free radical damage. 

I purchased this product after seeing it from one of my favorite Instagram Beauty lovers. I bought the smaller size since I wanted to try it out first and was not so sure I would like it since Urban Decay Setting Spray has been my holy grail along with new favorites, Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist and Gerard Cosmetics' Slay All Day Setting Spray. The packaging is nothing fancy. It is a clear plastic bottle and with a spray nozzle. No one has the best fine mist spray that Urban Decay, so I usually save my bottles and transfer my favorites into them.  The full size product retails for $38. A little too much for my liking. Urban Decay retails for $30, Pixi for $15 and Gerard for $22. Those prices I can deal with for a setting spray. 

The first time I used this product, it left me with white spots on the face and they are hard to get rid off once sprayed on.  Before using this product, make sure you shake it really well and do a test spray on the back of your hand to make sure you are white-spot free.  That for me is just another step which I do not really care for. The product itself works very well. I do not have oily skin  but I use a lot of dewy foundations and it helps give the mattifies look, but not too much. If you have oily skin, you will love this setting spray. I used this mostly during the triple digit temperatures we had in L.A. over the summer to put it to test and it held up my makeup and kept my skin oil-free (most people get a little oily in the heat).  I probably would not purchase this product again as I do not need the mattifying aspect of this setting spray since I do not have oily skin. It is also expensive in my opinion and I have three that I use and works extremely well for me.
