Product Review | I Heart Make Up London Lip Lava
I Heart Make Up London Lip Lava Liquid Lipstick in Forgiven ($5.39, Tambeauty International Website from the U.K.)
I Heart Make Up believes the Lip Lava is an intense lipstick formula, melted to create their most impactful gloss. Smooth and comfortable all day wear, with long lasting formula with Vitamin E.
This product has been labeled as a dupe for Too Faced Melted Chocolate Liquid Lipstick. I do not own any Too Faced Liquid Lipstick, so I cannot guarantee any of those claims, however, this product is pretty good considering its very low price point. I Heart Makeup London always packages their items in a very catchy and attractive way. The packaging of this liquid lipstick is nothing fancy, but it does mimic a little bit of the Too Faced ones I have seen around. It comes in a squeeze tube with a felt tip applicator at the end. Not one of my favorite kinds of applicator as it is attached to the tube itself.
The pigmentation of this product (Forgiven is the product shown) is great. I particularly enjoy the color and it ia very hydrating. It does not give me the "cracked and dry" lips effect that most liquid lipsticks do. It applies easy and dries as a semi-satin finish. I do not mind that at all as I am not a fan of matte lip wear, to be honest. The wear is decent, a couple of hours tops.
This product is made by Tambeauty, makers of popular U.K. brand makeup such as Makeup Revolution, Freedom Make Up, Catie Price, etc. That being said, you can get this on their website only and since it is based from the U.K., shipping can take a while, depending on your shipping option. However, I took advantage of their promo of free shipping with at least $75 total. I figured since this is an international order, I might as well pick up a few items rather than one. The free shipping took 9 days to arrive to Los Angeles, which I think is pretty decent for an international purchase.
