Product Review | Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush in Brilliant Nude ($38, Sephora)

Product Details (from Sephora's website): A captivating blush that combines the illuminating effects of Ambient® Strobe Lighting Powder with modern hues for glowing, lit-from-within color. The airy, lightweight blushes fuse the illuminating effects of Ambient® Strobe Lighting Powder with an array of vivid cheek colors to step up your flush. While traditional blush tends to be flat, Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush uses Photoluminescent Technology to create depth and dimension with an otherworldly glow. The hand-made powders are formulated using an advanced miscelare technique—which means to "blend" in Italian—creating the perfect balance of pigment and powder so that no two look alike. The result is a natural-looking, radiant finish with buildable color.  Formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates.

Review:  This was one of my loot from this past April's Sephora VIB Sale.  Hourglass packaging is always stunning and feels very luxurious with its gold casing, a dark brown box with a glossy finish and gold typography.  I remember buying their original Ambient Lighting Blush formula on a Friday after a really frustrating week at work and splurge on three of them.  I did not regret buying it then nor do I regret it now.  Long story short, I was looking forward to this new Strobe Lighting Blush formula.  When you look at the pan, due to the swirls of the Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder mixed with the blush, it does not look pigmented.  However, it is pigmented once applied on the skin.  It gives a nice pigment and it blends effortlessly.  Because it is a combination of blush pigments and their Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder, this gives dimension to the skin as not only it adds color but it also adds luminosity.  You can use it as sheer or light as you want or build it up for a more intense look.  I love this blush and definitely recommend purchasing one.
