Review: Too Faced made a big brouhaha marketing this highlighter. Of course, highlighters are my jam plus the packaging spoke to my soul so I purchased it when Sephora launched it early for VIB Rouge Clients. The packaging is very typical of most Too Faced products: eye-catching, decorative, artistic. The price point is also within the range of most Too Faced products which has always been consistent with the brand. These highlighters come in three shades and I picked out Blinded By The Light. The consistency is a baked gelee powder, similar to the Anastasia Beverly Hills single pan illuminators. I love the powder itself. It is not a very blinding highlighter but you can build it up to reach the outer space level. Now, the only prismatic about this highlighter is the design (prism embossment on the powder). This is not the typical prismatic highlighter where it beams different colors when light hits the skin. I love the product in general but other than the design and packaging, there is nothing special about this highlighter. I say that not because it is a bad product, but because you can get something very similar for a lower price point. I did not purchase the other shades for that reason. I say if you really want it for whatever reason, get it. However, I would not recommend purchasing it. That is all.
