Review:  I picked up this Violet Voss HG (Holy Grail) Eyeshadow Palette during their 20% off Memorial Day Weekend Sale.  This palette is not a new release, as a matter of fact, I am a year late in purchasing this (it was released sometime in the spring of 2016).  I originally wanted to buy the uber expensive and bougee Natasha Deanna Sunset Palette but it is out of stock everywhere.  I discovered the HG Eyeshadow palette after watching a few YouTube Anti-Hauls saying that they are not going to buy the ND Sunset Palette because they own this HG palette, which has similar shades.  I did my research and some of the shades are similar (but I know Natasha Deanna probably has really amazing eyeshadows just like Viseart) and went with the purchase.  So you get 20 shadows for $45 (I paid $36 with the 20% off), which I feel is a good price point.  It comes in a variety of textures (mattes, satin and metallic).  The pans are a good full-size pans that your eyeshadow brush can actually fit on it.  Some palettes with more than 10 shadows are cramped and the pan sizes are compromised.

These shadows are velvety, smooth, creamy, buttery and pigmented.  They are also long-wearing.  I did a simple bronze look on the photo above and I kid you not, you can do a much more dramatic look with this palette.  This palette has the shades that will work for daytime or nighttime looks.  The metallic and satin finish shadows apply nicely on the lid without the help of MAC Fix Plus (or any spray you have) but if you want them "lit", you can definitely use a Fixing Spray to achieve that look. I love the variety of shades on this palette, it is literally a palette you can take with you to travel and not need anything else as there are so many shades and looks you can create by using this palette alone.

Would I repurchase? Absolutely.  Not the same palette but they recently came out with their new Warm Matte Neutrals palette so I am looking forward to trying that one.  Maybe they will have a 4th of July Sale.
