Product Review | NYX Stripped Off Cleansing Balm
Product Review | NYX Sripped Off Cleansing Balm ($13.99, Ulta)
Product Details (From Ulta's website): NYX Cosmetics Stripped Off Cleansing Balm is a freshly scented cleanser that melts onto the skin. Formulated with green tea extract, grape seed oil and Vitamin E.
Review: I've had this product since it first came out late spring and was finally able to use it after I finished my No7 Beautiful Skin Melting Gel Cleanser a couple of weeks ago. I had the E.L.F. Gel Melt Cleanser and loved it but it had very little product in it so a while ago I was on the hunt for something that will replace it. The No7 Beautiful Skin Cleanser was a liquid gel form while this is a solid cleansing balm (similar to Clinique's Cleansing Balm but for way cheaper).
The packaging is a plastic black round jar with a black twist off cap with white typography and contains 3.25fl oz of product. It does not come with a box, but it was shrink-wrapped when I purchased it at Ulta. This has a waxy and thick texture at first, but once you massage it on the skin, it melts into a clear thin gel-like consistency. This is very gentle and moisturizing while it helps breakdown excess makeup (if you do a pre-cleanse with a makeup remover such as a Micellar Water). This does not strip the moisture of the skin, instead, it adds or puts it back. There is a slight scent but nothing that I cannot get over (and believe me, I am extremely sensitive to scented products). Storage and space saver wise, I prefer the No7 Beautiful Skin Cleanser because it comes in a tube but I feel this takes off excess makeup better.
Would I repurchase? Yes.
