Product Review | Col-lab Makeup The Filter Highlighting Powder in Uncensored ($12.99, Sallybeauty.com and $13.49 Sally Beauty in-store in Los Angeles)

Product Details (from Sally Beauty's website): COL· LAB's The Filter Highlighting Powder has a silky texture glides on flawlessly giving skin an opulent luminosity.

Review:  The blush does not come in any type of box packaging - just a plastic seal around the compact.  The black edges and clear window design are very straight forward and practical, in my opinion.  The clear window is an awkward shape and the blush pan inside is a square so my type A personality is thinking why just make the clear window into a square so it all fits in the window like it is supposed to.  The difference in the shape of the clear window and the blush pan causes an odd look as the sides of the blush pan are showing - I cannot explain it but when you buy this product, you will know what I am talking about - but obviously not a deal breaker.  It is the same packaging is their blushes.  The black edges have the same type of material as Nars' blush compacts.

I am always tempted to try out highlighters, especially new affordable releases.  The shade is called Uncensored.  It is a nice champagne shade (see swatch photo below) that can work with a variety of skin tones depending on application.  This is a soft pressed powder highlighter so there will be some kick up but that is to be expected.  This is a pigmented highlighter so be careful when you apply it - but if you want to channel E.T. - go ahead and pack it on the first time.  The highlighter is easy to apply and it blends very well so it does not sit on top of the skin.  I do not have texture on my skin and have very small to almost invisible pores so I cannot attest how this wears on textured skin or problematic areas of the face.  It is long-wearing - a decent 8hr plus without fading.

Would I repurchase? I really like the quality of the highlighter but unless Sally Beauty can fix the price discrepancy between their online and in-store stocks, I will not be repurchasing.
