Product Review | Dermalogica Calm Water Gel ($48, Ulta.com - This product was a complimentary product sent by Influenster.  No monetary compensation was involved.)

Product Details (from Ulta's website): Dermalogica's Calm Water Gel is a weightless water-gel moisturizer that hydrates dry, sensitive skin. Refreshing gel formula transforms into a skin-quenching fluid upon application, forming a weightless barrier against environmental assault. Dual hyaluronic acid technology works in different skin surface layers to increase and lock in moisture. Apple fruit extract and glycerin hydrate and soften while defending skin against dryness. Cactus pear extract helps soothe sensitivity and imparts water-binding properties to help support healthy moisture balance.

Review:  This is a complimentary product sent by Influenster but I always write my honest opinion/s about any free products I receive.  I have heard of the Dermalogica brand before through many beauty influencers that I follow, however, this is the first time I am using this brand.  I received this product early March (this review is running late) which was a perfect time to test it out since the weather was a lot cooler in Los Angeles where my skin needed an extra boost of hydration.  I have normal skin which can tend to be somewhat dry during the cooler months.  I apply this product after washing my face in the morning as my moisturizer.  The consistency is not necessarily gel-like, it is thinner than most gel products but once applied, it feels like water which makes it easy to apply.  The skin absorbs this product quickly.  I use this under my makeup or alone.  It really does leave the face moisturized, radiant and supple.   I like the gray and white packaging with a dash of light lavender color. One of the things I do not like about this product is the scent.  It smells like a topical ointment but it does not linger long.  Another thing is the price for the amount that you get (1.7 fl oz) especially for a product that you could potentially use on a daily basis if you decide to.  You are most likely going to purchase this on a monthly basis - if you are okay with that, then it is worth it.
