Product Review | Natasha Denona Face Glow Primer Hydrating Underbase

Product Review | Natasha Denona Face Glow Primer Hydrating Underbase ($35, Beautylish & Sephora)

Product Details (from Beautylish's website): For a perfect base and best results, Natasha believes in preparing and balancing every different skin type by its individual need before applying foundation. Her Face Glow Primer works to hydrate the skin and set foundation in place.

This creamy primer leaves skin with a healthy looking glow and is specially formulated for dry to normal skin types.

Tips for Use: Smooth product over the skin with fingertips and massage in until absorbed. Use this product before foundation or instead of a moisturizer.

Review:  I purchased this primer early May 2018 once I finished my First Aid Beauty Coconut Smoothie Hydrating Primer (but obviously slacked on reviewing it).  I was going to repurchase the FAB primer but I saw this instead.  I have loved the Natasha Denona Eyeshadows but I have never tried any of her face base products.

It is packaged in a very simple way - white box with silver and black typography, a clear glass jar with a white cap.  It contains 1.01 fl oz.  The texture of the product is smooth but it is very thick at first touch. It is not a lotion type of product but once applied on the face, it melts in the skin with the hands' natural warmth.  It is keeps the face hydrated throughout the day without making it greasy or oily.  It allows any liquid or powder applied over it to sink in beautifully and extends the wear of any makeup (in addition to a setting spray).  The price point is decent.  Natasha Denona's eyeshadow palettes run for over $100 so I was surprised that this was not priced at $50 or more.

I highly recommend this product.  Though it did not make my skin feel or look greasy and oily (I do have a normal skin type), if you have oily skin - purchase with caution.
