Review:  This is my fourth Pat McGrath eyeshadow palette, but it is only second large palette.  I mentioned on my Instagram a few weeks back that I prefer the formula of the larger palette instead of the six pan palette.  After trying out the Mothership V large palette last fall, I was hooked.  I treated myself to this Mothership II Sublime palette a few weeks ago and never looked back.  I know it comes with a hefty price, hence the reason I am very careful on which eyeshadow palette brands I purchase from.

The shimmers on this palette are phenomenal.  They blend so easily and they are soft and creamy to the touch.  They apply seamlessly on the eyelids and have great wear-time.  The mattes are also soft and buttery smooth.  They blend easily and are not patchy when applied on the eyelids or crease area. There are a two shades on this palette that I would consider a shadow topper instead of a true shimmer.  That does not bother me at all since the rest of the shimmers are stunning.  There is a slight fall out or kick up as these shadows are not hard-pressed.  Many will say this palette does not have a transition shade, and that is correct.  But keep in mind, this is a Pat McGrath Palette.  Pat McGrath is not worried about transition shades.  If you browse her Instagram page, her tutorials are very editorial and artistic that transition shades are not needed.  Just use your bronzer as a transition shade if you really need one.

As always, I will not recommend that you run and out and get this palette due to its hefty price tag.  However, if you are like me who has a more curated eyeshadow palettes and enjoys these type of formulas, then I suggest you either pick one up during the Sephora VIB Sale or during Pat McGrath's Black Friday Sale.
