Review: As mentioned on my previous review, the declutter of my luxury foundations due to their past expiration dates has prompted me to try out a few drugstore ones. I loved the NYX Born To Glow Illuminator in Sunbeam and when they released the Born To Glow Foundation line I was all about it. The fact that it comes in 45 different shades is amazing for an affordable brand. This foundation does not come with a box packaging but in a sealed shrink wrap. It is contained in a black squeeze tube with white and gold typography. There is a small clear window where you can see the actual foundation shade. The shade I have is in Medium Olive #9 (see swatch below). It is slightly lighter than the other two foundation shades however when applied on the skin, it blends really well and it evens out my skin tone without an obvious white cast look. The foundation provides a nice radiance on the skin but I do not think it is as long-wearing as the other two drugstore foundations that I am currently trying. This is similar to a tinted moisturizer, in my opinion. I do like a sheer to light coverage plus with its $10 price tag, it is not a deal breaker. The foundation has a nice light consistency that blends beautifully into the skin. If you love a full coverage foundation, this is not the one for you. This may work if you have combination skin although if you have oily skin, the dewy finish might add to the shine that your natural oils already produce. Would I recommend this foundation? Yes, but only if you do not mind a sheer to light coverage and if you are not looking for something to wear on a full-day or long hours. It is not a ground-breaking formula; but it is beautiful on the skin. If you have other tinted moisturizers, you may not need this.
