Product Review | Colourpop Lux Lip Gloss in Blissful ($8, Colourpop.com)

Product Details (from Colourpop's website):  Feel the lux with our most comfortable, ultra cushiony lip gloss. This high shine, non-sticky formula hydrates and nourishes lips with feel-good ingredients like antioxidant rich black rose, poppy seed, and madagascar vanilla for fuller looking, healthy lips. Its oversized doe-foot applicator applies the perfect amount in a single swipe.

Review:  I have always loved Colourpop's Ulta Glossy Lip line but that has been replaced by their Lip Tints.  Over the last year, I have found myself loving and enjoying cream to satin finishes along with sheer to glossy ones versus thicker matte formulas.  I have yet to try Fenty Beauty's Gloss Bombs but I was hopeful that I would love this formula due to its price point and would have to pass on the Fenty ones.

This comes in a white box packaging with rose gold typography.   The product is contained in a sturdy clear acrylic bottle with a larger doe foot applicator along with a blush pink twist cap.  The formula is thicker than I would normally prefer.  It is different than their Ultra Glossy line. Upon application, I am not fond of the thicker slab on my lips; however, once the application is evened out I no longer feel the thick product.  Another aspect to consider is that upon application it does feel slightly tacky but again, once it has been spread and evened out on the lips, it no longer feels tacky.  I love the shade Blissful, it has a nice sheer tint (which is what I was hoping for) and perfect for every day wear.   This is not a long wearing gloss, so if you do not like re-applying them, you are not going to enjoy this product.  If you can get over the first few seconds of feeling a slightly thick slab of products on your lips, then I would definitely recommend this item.  Otherwise, I'd say stick to the Ultra Glossy formula.
