Review:  I loved the Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Foundation.  It was a holy grail product and right when I was about to purchase my third bottle, they discontinued the line (let me insert that I replaced it with the Fiona Stiles Luminous Finish Foundation but they discontinued that, too).  I tried the Burberry Cashmere line and loved it, but that, too, went kaput shortly after.  So many heartbreaks with this brand because the foundations are so good but nothing lasted.  Now, I discovered this Matte Glow Foundation and I'm realizing that it is out of stock - I won't hold my breath.  This might be off the shelves any day now.  Okay, end of rants and let's get on with the review.

The foundation comes in a blush nude box packaging with silver/gray typography.  The bottle is made out of frosted glass which makes the packaging feel very luxurious.  The bottle has a pump to dispense the foundation.  Many of you know I am all about the dewy finish but the "Matte Glow" name caught my eye. We all know that "matte" and "glow" do not go together in a sentence.  I am not into matte foundations but the Burberry Cashmere line nailed the soft matte finish to perfection.  The foundation has a nice consistency, not too thick, not too thin.  It is easy to apply and blends well into the skin.  I would say that it is a natural finish more than a matte finish; which is probably why they used the "Matte Glow" term for this foundation.  I did not see a lot of glow; but very little matte finish either.  Clearly, most of us are either working from home or just at home due to COVID19 quarantine situation.  While I had the chance to use this product for days, I didn't get to test it the way I normally would.  If I had a normal work schedule where I was at work for 8+ hours, I'd be exposed to many elements (i.e. heat, cold, wind, etc).   Nonetheless, I think this foundation is beautiful and totally worth my $52.  I will really be disappointed (once again) if Burberry discontinued this amazing formula.   I highly recommend this foundation especially if you are looking for a beautiful, long-lasting natural finish.
