Product Review | Giorgio Armani Neo Nude Foundation

Product Review | Giorgio Armani Neo Nude Foundation in Shade 8 ($40, Sephora)

Product Details (from Sephora's website):  A skincare-infused lightweight foundation that delivers all-day hydration, visibly plumps and smooths, and gives skin a healthy, glowy finish.  This buildable, light-coverage foundation blends pure pigments with lightweight oils for a comfortable “no-makeup” makeup look. Formulated with hyaluronic acid and glycerin, this liquid foundation smooths and plumps the appearance of skin while delivering lasting hydration and a naturally glowy finish.

Review:  The Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation was once a holy grail product for me until I fell in love with the YSL Touche Eclat Radiance Awakening Foundation.  It is practically the same foundation, in my opinion.  YSL has a better shade and undertone range; and it's $12 less.  Since I am all about light coverage foundations, this Neo Nude line caught my eye along with its $40 price range.

It comes in a high gloss black box along with white typography.  The foundation is housed in a blush nude squeeze tube.  I like that it is in a squeeze tube as it is easy to dispense the product that way.  This foundation claims to provide a lightweight coverage, healthy skin glow, all-day hydration and a natural finish.  I can attest that all of those claims are true.  You can sheer out the application for a nice "no makeup" look or go with a lighter coverage for the perfect every day wear.  This foundation is so lightweight that I can't even feel it on my skin.  It leaves my skin looking healthy without making it look and feel oily at the end of the day.  It applies smoothly and it sinks into the skin after application instead of sitting on the skin.  It also stays put when powder or another liquid makeup is applied on top of it such as concealer, blush or bronzer.

If you are into sheer/light coverage foundation, I highly recommend this product.  It is beautiful on the skin and it is perfect for every day use.  Below is an up close swatch of the foundation.  The third photo is a comparison swatch of two foundations and a tinted moisturizer.  I just reviewed the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation on a previous post and I prefer this over the Chanel one; hands down.
