Review:  My experience with most BB or CC cream has been pretty standard.  Nothing has "wowed" me so far.  My first BB Cream was from Garnier.  It was too thick and had a three-color shade range.  I tried the It Cosmetics one a few years ago since every one raved about it.  I liked it at first.  Then I remember buying a second one because the Medium Tan shade was not a good fit.  Unfortunately, so was the Tan shade.  If I remember correctly, the undertone were off.  I haven't purchased any BB or CC Cream since then.

When E.L.F. announced their Camo CC Cream on Instagram,  I was very intrigued and clearly I bought it during the day of release with my fingers crossed.  I love the E.L.F. Hydrating Camo Concealer so much so I figured this should be a good one.  Also, E.L.F. has released so many great products such as their Putty Primers, Halo Glow Powders and Putty Blushes - all products I love from the brand.

This comes in a traditional E.L.F. packaging style - a box with a cut out window where you can touch and see the actual product.  However, this one has a holographic design and black typography versus its usual black box.  The product is in a tube with a pump to dispense the product.  The tube has a black, silver and clear coloring.  The clear part allows you to see the shade of the item.  The black part has "E.L.F. Camo CC Cream" printed on it.  The silver part has some of its claims and key ingredients written such as "Color correcting, Full-Coverage, Natural Finish, Collagen, Peptides and Niacinamides''.

This product is fragrance-free which I enjoy.  The consistency is a happy-medium liquid, not too thick and not too thin either.  It is easy to apply and it blends nicely on the skin.  It does claim that it has a natural finish and I definitely agree to that; and it does make the skin look healthier and vibrant.  If you follow me on Instagram (@thelovelist1), I did a first impression and two-check ins on my stories (click on the Highlights that says "ELF Camo").  As I mentioned on my first impressions, I like having light coverage face base however I had a pimple on the side of my forehead that was already protruded.  I tested adding more coverage to that area and it did not really cover it up (see finished look on the bottom).  I think this will cover up blemishes that are "flat" instead of those that are "above" the skin or protruded.   This product is long-wearing and it lasted throughout the day (that includes meal times and a nap time and even walking the dog) without breaking up or fading (except corners of the mouth after eating which is normal of rme).

I picked up the shade 330 W (medium with warm undertones).  I was a little skeptical because I used a couple of foundations that I've been using lately and it matched me with 240 W (light with warm undertones) so I ended up using a different foundation brand (I think it was Fenty) and it matched me with the shade that I have.  The 330 W shade is a perfect match.  I'm glad that I didn't go with the first shade that was suggested.  The thing is they have a shade match guarantee; so if yours isn't the right one they will give you 100% refund if you return the item within 30 days.  But with the pandemic, who has time for returns?

Overall, besides the skeptical shade matching experience, I really enjoy this Camo CC Cream.  They suggested that it pairs well with their Camo CC Cream line of concealers and that is also true.  However, this also pairs well with my other tried and true holy grail concealers such as the Colourpop Pretty Fresh Hydrating Concealer, Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer, Too Faced Multi-Sculpting Concealer and the Flower Beauty Light Illusion Concealer.  That for me is a plus because it is rare that these concealers fail to work with all the face base that I own and use.  This CC Cream is beautiful on the skin.  It keeps the skin hydrated with is necessary for me during the cooler months and it makes the skin appear healthy and glowing without feeling greasy.  I definitely recommend this product.  If you are using the It Cosmetics CC Cream, I suggest that you try this one and see for yourself.  Plus, it is a whole lot cheaper, too.  This line comes with 20 shades.  It is not bad, but they could have a better shade range.  Maybe they will add more in 2021.  Did you pick this one up?
