Review:  Everyone and their Mamas are raving about Tower 28 Beauty.  So when Founder Amy Liu decided to donate all money earned from March 19, 2021's purchases to the AAPI #StopAsianHate cause, I was all in to support it and made a purchase.  I picked up several items but today we will be looking at the Beach Please Lip + Cheek Cream Blush in the shades Magic Hour and Power Hour.

Let's start with the basics:  this comes in an off white box with orange typography.  The blush + lip cream compact is made of clear acrylic with the Tower 28 logo printed in white.  At first glance, the packaging appears cheap, similar to many drugstore items with clear plastic packaging.  However, when you hold it, it has a nice weight to it.  Not heavy but it also doesn't feel like it will fall apart.  I actually love the clear packaging.  The blush pans are a nice size, too.

I picked up the shades Magic Hour which was described as sun-kissed rosy nude and Power Hour which was a sun-kissed terra-cotta shade.  If you have followed me on this blog and on my Instagram (@thelovelist) for a while, you will notice that I tend to lean on peach and coral shades; so these two shades will be a great variety to my blush collection.  These blushes have a balmy consistency.  They are emollient than most cream blushes I own and that is probably because it multi-tasks as a tinted lip balm.  The formula is easy to blend and applies well on top of other products such as foundation and primer.  It is pigmented and be sheered or intensified based on your liking.  However, I don't think this blush is as long-wearing as most cream blushes I own even after setting it with a loose powder.  I think it is probably because of its emollient consistency; however it is not bad.  I just don't think this is my long-day wear kind of blush.  It is perfect for a natural everyday look; especially if you just want to add a flush of color to the cheeks.  You know, kind of those "no-makeup" look days.

Tower 28 is one of the affordable beauty brands at Sephora.  I also love that it is founded by a woman and it is one of the most successful Asian brands in the market today.  Since they are also made in Santa Monica, California - it is a local brand for me and I am all for supporting local business.  I recommend these cheek tints.  They are easy to use and the $20 price point is decent.  If you want to try them, the Sephora Spring Sale is going on until April 19, 2021.  Pick yours up and get a 10, 15 or 20 percent discount.
