Product Review | Tower 28 Beauty Bronzino in West Coast ($20, Tower28Beauty.com and Sephora.com)

Product Details (from Tower 28 Beauty's website):  Inspired by that moment when the sun sets over the ocean, Bronzino is a blendable, buildable illuminating cream bronzer for that effortless, summer glow from within. This silicone-free formula is made with mineral pigment and skin-loving ingredients like moisturizing mango butter + calming green tea extract to help soothe and condition the skin. Now available in five shades.

Review:  This was one of the items I ordered when founder Amy Liu decided to donate all money earned from March 19, 2021's purchases to the AAPI #StopAsianHate cause.  As mentioned, I picked up several items but today we will be looking at the Bronzino in the shade West Coast.

Let's start with the basics:  this comes in an off white box with orange typography.  The Bronzino compact is made of clear acrylic with the Tower 28 logo printed in white.  At first glance, the packaging appears cheap, similar to many drugstore items with clear plastic packaging.  However, when you hold it, it has a nice weight to it.  Not heavy but it also doesn't feel like it will fall apart.  I actually love the clear packaging.  The bronzer pans are a nice size, too.   I picked up the shade West Coast because why not, right? I live in the West Coast!  Seriously, at that time there were only two shades (now they have five) and this suited my skin better as the other shade had more of a reddish undertone.

The formula is similar to their cream blushes where it is easy to blend, build and lightweight.  I love that I can use this product on my bare skin (after serum, moisturizer and sunscreen).  It is the perfect no makeup look item.  Because this is an illuminating bronzer, it is perfect even without foundation under.  You can sheer it or intensify the pigment depending on how sun kissed you want to look.   Since this is an illuminating bronzer, I do not use this as a contour product nor do I use it to bronze all over the face.  I tend to apply it as if it was a highlighter - I apply on the high points of the face, where the sun naturally hits - it can't get any better than that.  I love that the formula is sensitive skin friendly and that they added skincare ingredients in it.  I am a fan and definitely recommend this product.  For $20, this is a must have especially if you like a no makeup look most of the time.
