Review: I haven't purchased anything from the main Colourpop brand in a while (However, I have from their sister company, Sol Body, which has become a quick favorite) because I felt like every time I blink, there is always something new around the corner. I was overwhelemed by the quick turnaround of new released that it was not grabbing my attention anymore. I am obsessed with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze and when Colourpop released their Feather Effect Brow Styling Was I was hoping it would be a back-up to use on days where I do not feel like wearing makeup but just want my brows done. For $7 (you can purchase a kit with a spoolie included but it was out of stock by the time I ordered it), it seemed like a good idea and a good deal.
This came in a nude colored box with white typography. The compact is a nude cream packaging with a mirror and the brow wax itself. Now, I am not an expert in brow waxes as the ABH Brow Freeze is my first go around at it, but I do know what a wax feels like and have some an idea of what texture to expect. This is no wax at all. Honestly, it was super hard pressed. There was nothing waxy about it. It claims it is a solid to gel like texture, the only thing true to that is it is a solid and hard product. This is even after spraying the wax with a setting spray as you cannot get a product without having some type of liquid activator. The best way I was able to get some product out was spraying the setting spray directly on the spoolie and then scraping some wax. This also left minor white residues on my brows. You can see the short clip video and hear the actual tapping of my nails on the wax. I honestly expected more from this product. At least when you say wax, give me a wax not a hard brick. I do not recommend this at all. Save your coins and get the ABH Brow Freeze.
