Product Review | Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick

Anastasia Beverly Hills' first released the liquid lipstick formula and it has changed the lip color game quickly. Many companies launched their own version of liquid lipsticks, but for me, the Gerard Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick ($20, Gerard Cosmetics Website) has one of the best formulas and the most comfortable liquid lipstick I have tried. Due to the promise of high pigmentation and long wear, most liquid lipsticks have a drying formula thus leaving the lips dull, cracked and less hydrated.

The packaging of Gerard Cosmetics is sleek with its gold tones and frosted tube. I like that despite the frosted tube, you can still see the color of the product. It is reasonably priced compared to many of the other brands sold at Sephora and Ulta. I love how pigmented this formula is on the first swipe. It has a good consistency that does not feel thick on the lips. It does have a bit of transfer but I do not mind that at all. The color last for hours as you can see on the post I did about "Skinny Dip" on my Instagram {@happyhr247}.

As always, Gerard has great customer service and I love the fast shipping. One thing I wish they would have is a wider range of colors. I would definitely recommend this brand over ABH, as I find their liquid lipstick very drying. Products swatched above are : Serenity, Mile High & Skinny Dip.  These are my favorite colors from their Hydra Matte line.
