Product Review | MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Naturals

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Tan ($33, MAC store and online) :  MAC describes this product as a luxurious, slow-baked domed face powder with low-level pearlized pigments that provide a dimensional yet natural-satin finish. It can be used to set foundation and to touch-up makeup throughout the day. Features a 77-Mineral Complex and vitamin E.  It is dermatologist and opthalmologist tested. Non-acnegenic.

I purchased this product in hopes to finding a back up for my Sephora Microsmooth Powder. While this costs more than Sephora, I am glad I found a powder that is similar or just as good. My main issue with any powder is when it applies cakey on the skin. This is why I tend to lean towards baked products for the natural look and smooth application on the skin. MAC MSF Naturals provides the coverage without being caked up on the face.  I have mine in Medium Tan and it is a perfect match. I have used this alone without a foundation (but with a primer, of course) and have also enjoyed the natural but luminous finish on my face as an all-over powder.

It has MAC's classic black packaging. It is finely milled and it stays on for a good amount of time, when used with a setting spray.  I do not use this as a touch up powder, but I do use it to set my foundation and sometimes, as mentioned above, as an overall powder when I do not want to use foundation. Would I repurchase even if it is priced higher than Sephora's Microsmooth Powder? I sure will.
