Product Review | L.A. Girl Pro Coverage HD Longwear Illuminating Foundation

L.A. Girl Pro Coverage HD Longwear Illuminating Foundation ($10, L.A. Girl website)

The claims for this foundation include, high-definition long wear illuminating liquid foundation ideal for a flawless looking, full coverage finish. Lightweight formula is comfortable for all day wear. Paraben free formula with added anti-oxidants helps hydrate and improve the skin's appearance. Now available to extend the color range even further, an innovative white foundation mixer to adjust and customize color.

I have this foundation in Nude Beige (left swatch) and Warm Beige (right swatch) due to the fact that online shades look a lot different in person. Luckily for me, both shades work just fine, I can always bronze up when using the lighter shade. After seeing many posts on Instagram, as always I did my research and watched reviews on YouTube. Being that this foundation is only $10, I decided to buy a few items from their cosmetic line. Plus, the company ships from Southern California so my packages arrives two days after I place my order. Fast shipping time is always attractive to me.

Now let's move on to the product. The packaging is very sleek similar to the Make Up Forever HD Foundation, only this one is in a sturdy clear plastic container instead of glass.  It contains .95 Fl Oz so it is a bit less than most foundations in the market. However, because of the price, it is not a deal breaker. It also comes with a pump, so that is another plus. The foundation is creamy and smooth. It is easy to apply. It oxidizes a little bit that is why the lighter Nude Beige shade also works for me. It does not oxidize in an orange shade, which is good. It is definitely hydrating and long-wearing. You can use this with a brush or a Beauty Blender (or any other beauty sponge you have), but I prefer the application with a sponge.  One thing I have noticed is that the foundation seems to fade around the nose area, however, it apparently does it when I use a certain kind of primer. It works well with my Hourglass or NYX Angel Veil mineral primer.

The foundation sits well on the skin and it is very lightweight. I like a natural application so I do not build up this foundation and it has a nice natural finish to it. I do not have oily skin so this foundation does not make my face shiny.  It has enough dewiness to keep the glow without making my skin oily. Most illuminating foundations make the skin oily. If you have normal to dry skin, you may actually like this foundation. If you have oily skin, you should try this but proceed with caution and bring some blotting papers to use throughout the day.
