Product Review | E.L.F. Beautifully Bare Foundation Serum SPF 25

Product Review | E.L.F. Beautifully Bare Foundation Serum  SPF 25 in Light/Medium ($8.00, Target)

The E.L.F. website claims this foundation is a weightless silky formula melts into skin seamlessly for a radiant and youthful-looking skin. The luminous, dewy finish helps boost suppleness and minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines for flawless coverage. The foundation includes broad spectrum sun protection with UVA/UVB SPF 25 protection. Infused with Vitamin A, C, & E, Grape Seed Oil, Pomegranate Oil, and Goji Berry to help brighten, restore, nourish and protect the skin.

I originally bought the Medium/Dark shade of this foundation at Target as the Light/Medium shade on the bottle was very misleading.  It looked like a light orange tint in person. The Medium/Dark ended being too dark on my skin but the Light/Medium shade actually has a nice yellow undertone that looks nothing like the way it is on the bottle.  Problem solved...kinda.

The packaging is a clear plastic bottle, similar to the L.A. Girl Pro HD Illuminating Foundation, but it feels nice, sleek and classy.  It has a vacuum pump like their face primers, which is a plus.  For the price point of $8.00, this is decent for a light coverage foundation.  But that's all you are going to get from this foundation.  Light coverage.  I love light coverage foundations, especially serum ones such as the Sephora Teinte Infusion Foundation but that is buildable, just in case you need an extra oomph.  The E.L.F. Serum Foundation feels like skin and it is very pretty on the skin.  However, this foundation is not buildable. It moves around when you put another layer on your face.  I have tried it with a brush and a Beauty Blender and different kinds of primers.  If this is your first time on my blog, I do not have oily skin (I have normal skin), very little to almost invisible pores, have no textures on my skin and have an even complexion.

This is foundation definitely something that you have to set.  It does not dry quickly on the skin which makes it difficult to blend or add product or layer over it.  You will literally be blending for a while or unless you have time to wait for it to dry, it may just work out.  Would I repurchase? Despite my love for light coverage foundation and as beautiful and light as it looks and feels on the skin, its inability to layer product over it and the fact that it moves around too much during application has hindered me to purchase another one.
