Review:  The entire Design X Katy collaboration with Dose of Colors launched on August 14th. This was probably one of the collaborations I was so excited to drop this summer season.  The collection comes with two highlighter, an eyeshadow quad, two matte lipsticks, two liquid lipsticks and a shimmer lip gloss.  Many of you know, highlighters are my jam and after watching how these applied on Desi's skin - I was sold.  Well, who am I kidding?! I already knew I was going to purchase them since I am huge Desi fan (and Katy, too) and it helps that Desi and I have similar skin tones.

The packaging is a metallic rose gold box with the brand's name embossed.  Everything is monochromatic on the design of the box.  The actual compact for the highlighters is adorned in bling. It is beautiful but without the extremely high price tag.  The highlighters are priced at $28 which I think is reasonable for a high end brand.  Anastasia Beverly Hills sells their individual compacts for the same price.  Fuego is a light champagne gold while Mirame is a rose gold shade with a bronze undertone.  The powders are soft, creamy and easy to blend.  Even though the powders are soft, the kick up is not extreme.  When applied on the skin, it reminds me of the consistency and texture of Becca's Opal Highlighter.  However, this one has a thinner consistency that when applied on the skin, it almost looks wet.  It is gorgeous.  You can sheer this out or build it up until everyone's dinner table is lit.

Would I repurchase? Absolutely. I hope they make this formula part of their permanent highlighter line and produce more shades.
