Review: I follow BH Cosmetics on Instagram and saw a photo of this brush set.  It has been a long while since I purchased makeup brushes from them.  The last time was back in 2011 when I tried their stippling brush (which I preferred over the E.L.F. one that I used to own).  So I went on their website since the handles reminded of Morphe's Gunmetal Brush Collection which I own a few brushes from (not the entire set).  Plus, I was attracted to the gray-colored bristles.  Just my luck, they were having a sale and purchased this set for $16.99 instead of the retail price of $24.  You know I always like a good deal.

The brush set (and the Quick Change brush cleaner, on the photo above ) arrived at a reasonable time frame and were packed very well.  Items were packed with tissue paper and wrapped in plastic.  The brush set came in a white box with black typography with an image of the brush set.  The brush set was housed in a gun metal cosmetic bag.  The brushes had plastic brush guards on them which I appreciate.  The only thing I noticed was the Fan Brush bristles were deformed (see photo above, Fan Brush on far right) because it was placed on the side on the cosmetic bag instead of in the middle which caused the bristles to lose its form.  I washed the brushes prior to using them (also in hopes to get the Fan Brush bristles to go back to its original form) and there were no shedding from the bristles.  The Fan Brush bristles are not quite back to its original form but far better than when I received it.  I do not usually use Fan Brushes so it did not really bother me.  I only wish that the handles were longer - I know, first world problems.

Honestly, I only picked out three face brushes and a three eye brushes from this set to include in my regularly used items as I have other brushes that I prefer.  However, the ones I picked out were good.  The bristles are soft but pick up powder products well and blends them well during application.  The brushes are also good with cream products (i.e. cream contour stick) and liquid eyeshadows.  The bristles do not shed during application as some brushes do, so the quality of these brushes are amazing for their price.

Would I repurchase? Yes. This is definitely something I would buy and give as a gift to someone.
