Product Review | Natasha Denona Chroma Crystal Top Coat in Nude, Peach and Gray Brown ($28, Sephora)

Product Details (from Sephora's website): Based on Natasha Denona's Chroma Crystal eyeshadows, this product is creamy to the touch and gives your look a natural, lustrous glass effect due to its pure pigments, real crushed pearls, and chroma crystals.  A multi-use new formulation that can be applied on bare lids, on top of eyeshadow, or on top of lipstick for a dazzling effect.  Formulated without Parabens.

Review: If you follow me on Instagram (@happyhr247), I am smitten with the Natasha Denona brand.  After Sephora had their VIB Rouge Sale in November, Sephora dazzled its customers with a $25 discount on all purchases over $50 - and here we are with the Natasha Denona Chroma Crystal Top Coat in three shades (top to bottom swatches): Nude, Peach and Gray Brown.  There are actually four shades in the line, Bronze, is the other shade.  It was one that I kept debating on whether to get it or not - but these three were definitely the ones I wanted.

The box packaging is a petite white box with the brand's typography in black - I love it. It is nothing fancy, straight to the point, clean and classic.  The product is contained in a small frosted tub/jar with a white cap.  Everything about this product from the outside to the inside is attractive to me.  The chroma crystals are hard pressed but you can easily grab the product by swirling a finger on it.  Now keep in mind - THESE ARE NOT EYESHADOWS.  These are crystal toppers to make a plain eyeshadow color transform into a nice pop of shimmer.  It is not supposed to have a pigment of an eyeshadow.  Some have said that it is the same formula as the Colourpop SuperShock Eyeshadows - NO THEY ARE NOT.  I own quite a few SuperShock Eyeshadow pots from Colourpop and they are very different - one is a cream eyeshadow and this again is a crystal eyeshadow topper.

I have tried this product on top of a matte eyeshadow and it is beautiful, however, my favorite way to use this is to apply it on bare lids.  It adds a beautiful shine on the lids for a fun daytime look.  It just gives a nice wash of shimmer and hint of color to bare lids.  This chroma crystals are not chunky, they are easy to blend and provides a nice wet and high shine glossy look to the lids.  It is so easy to use, perfect for everyday use - just apply and go!  I would definitely recommend this product if you like shimmery looks (whether for daytime or nighttime).  If you do not want to pay full price, you can always get them this upcoming spring when Sephora does their annual VIB Spring Sale event.
