Product Review | Givenchy Teint Couture Blurring Foundation Balm

Product Review | Givenchy Teint Couture Blurring Foundation Balm in Nude Gold 06 ($45, Sephora)

Product Details (from Sephora's website): The texture of a balm offers a the feel of a second skin. This soft, light, and delicate melt-in texture glides on to fuse with the curves of the face. It contains no greasy oil, but rather an exclusive selection of volatile components that vanish on application, leaving an imperceptible veil. The complexion is smoothed and perfectly even for up to 12 hours. The Light and Blur Complex with diamond powder visibly erases all imperfections and fine lines, giving the skin a look of pure and natural radiance. The complexion is lightly corrected, with a lightweight feeling.

Givenchy laboratories have developed an original synergy of skincare ingredients to guarantee optimal comfort and skin protection.Hydro magnets work to capture and keep water molecules and preserve skin’s optimal moisture level. Review:  This is my second Givenchy purchase from Sephora (the Teint Couture Highlighter was the first one) and I love both products from the Teint Couture line.  As always, anything that screams light coverage with skin-like finish will always call my name and I will come running.  The packaging is typical to the Teint Couture line, a black box with white/silver typography with the brand's logo on the middle.  The bottle is a rectangular flat-like plastic material (I know I am not describing it well) similar to the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation with a silver cap.  It is a squeeze type bottle.  I do not mind this type of way to dispense a product.  It has a thin consistency so it works well and you can still control how much product you want to dispense.  This product is has a velvety texture, slightly balmy without the heavy and sticky film.  It blends easily and sits very nicely on the skin.  The formula is similar to Charlotte Tilbury's Light Wonder foundation.  I love the light coverage and natural skin-like finish of this foundation.  It has a decent wear time, I say anywhere from 6-9 hours, depending on your skin type.  I have normal skin so this lasts me throughout an entire workday. Please note that I do dust (very lightly) loose powder on the perimeters of my face (I do not bake) and always use a makeup setting spray.  I do not retouch my makeup throughout the day as I never had the need to aside from my lipstick.  I do not even bring a makeup bag with me.  If you want to splurge on a luxury brand, I definitely recommend this product if you want a nice, light and very skin-like finish.  If you need more coverage, this is not for you.
