Product Review | Dior Forever Skin Glow 24hr Wear Radiant Perfection Skin-Caring Foundation in 4WO ($52, Sephora)

Product Details (from Sephora's website): The iconic, long-wearing Forever foundation, now in a radiant finish, creates a complexion that appears flawless and even, with tighter-looking pores. From morning to night, the skin-perfecting formula delivers a naturally-vibrant, shine-free glow. The skin is protected against exterior aggressors, including UVA and UVB rays with SPF 35 broad spectrum sunscreen.

Review:  My first ever Dior foundation purchase was in 2016 and I was disappointed.  While the formula was wonderful, the shade selection was nowhere compared to their current range plus the shade I had gave me a gray cast when Winter came.   However, 2018 has brought Dior foundations in my life and both have been very impressive, formula and shade range wise.

After picking up the Dior Backstage Foundation (shade 4WO) in the summer, I decided to pick up the new Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation at the end of 2018.  I will sound like a broken record here, but you all know anything with glow, luminous and radiant finishes will almost always call my name out loud.  Since the 4WO in the Backstage line matched me so well, I chose the same shade for this one and it is a perfect match.  While we are talking about shade range, let me just point out that I appreciate that they offer an olive undertone.  While I can rock the warm yellow and golden undertones, I have to say that Olive is the best undertone that fits me well.  I wish more foundation lines offered Olive undertones (Fiona Stiles Beauty Luminous Concentrate Foundation in the shade 5 Olive is one of my perfect match in terms of shade selection).

The box came in its typical Dior high shine packaging in dark blue with silver typography.  The bottle is made of clear heavy duty glass with a pump and a black cap with the brand's initials on top.  The consistency is medium - not too thick, not too runny but it is still lightweight on the skin.  It applies easily and blends smoothly.  It is quickly absorbed and does not sit on top of the skin.  This is a long-wearing radiant foundation without making your face look greasy.  It really does give your skin a natural glow.  It works well with every primer that I own and it does not disturb and product on top of it such as concealer and any other powder or liquid products applied on the skin.  This foundation is very similar to the new Laura Mercier Flawless Lumiere Radiant Foundation which I reviewed two weeks ago.  The only thing that Dior has one up on Laura Mercier is their Olive undertones but other than that, I would recommend one or the other.  You do not need both, but unless you are a glowing skin hoarder like I am, get both if you want to splurge.
