Product Review | Nars Liquid Blush in Torrid, Orgasm and Luster ($30, Sephora and Macy's)

Review:  There was a time where I had 9 Nars Powder blushes before decluttering them (they were old) but I have never delved into their cream products except for their Concealer and Sheer Glow Foundation.  I was watching one of EmilyTBeauty's video and saw her using one of these cream blushes.  I enjoyed the glow it left on her face and when the weather started to become cooler, I needed a much more hydrating product to use for my face.  Enter Nars Liquid Blushes.

The packaging is in its typical black box with white typography.  The blushes comes in a frosted glass bottle with the Nars typography in black.  It has a black top cover with a soft-matte texture similar to their blush compacts.  It also comes with a pump.  The one thing kind of tricky is the cap has to be pulled up not twisted.  Otherwise, you will think that the product is to be dispensed with a weird looking spatula.  Out of the three, Luster has a slightly thicker consistency as you can see on the swatches below.  Luster also has a matte finish although since it is a cream product, it still leaves a slight sheen on the skin.  Both Torrid and Orgasm has a thinner consistency but are very pigmented.  My last dabble on cream blushes almost 6 years ago using one from NYX.  I could not blend or apply them to save my life but that is not the case with these cream blushes.  I do not apply them directly on my cheeks, instead I apply a small amount (about a pea-size) on the back of my hand and blend it using the Sephora PRO Diffuser Brush #64.  This blends and applies cream blushes beautifully and seamlessly on the skin.  It does not leave the skin greasy or oily looking.  I do even have to set it with any blush powder.  It stays all day and sinks into the skin versus sitting on top of it.  

The shade Torrid is a nice shade of Coral when blended so it is not too intense, unless you want to build it up.  Luster is a beautiful peach color.  I am not really into pink blushes, but the Orgasm shade has small flecks of silver shimmer and when blended, it comes out as a beautiful flush on the cheeks.

I highly recommend these cream blushes, they are phenomenal.  However, if you would like to try a budget-friendly option, the Flower Beauty Blush Bomb Drops are a good alternative.
