Review:  Once I learned how to use cream products, I was all over it.  My first ever cream product was the Soleil Tan de Chanel Cream Bronzer.  I loved that bronzer except it came in one universal shade which was clearly not a universal shade since it does not work for me when I am darker during the summertime.  The packaging was so pretty I kept it for decor; but had to declutter it in the end.   When Colourpop's sister company, Sol Body, released these bronzing balms, I was so excited.  I typical wait a few days before ordering (I try to skip launch days from Colourpop) but not this one.  I set my alarm to make sure I got my hands on them. I ordered two shades: Medium Dark and Dark since I'm a toasted brown biscuit during the summertime and I did not want to regret not having a back up in case the shade I got was too light.  On the upside, these babies are priced at $15 for 31g of product so not bad at all. At least it is not $50 a pop like the Chane-ne bronzers.

The packaging is so beautiful; especially at its $15 price point.  The box is a foiled rose gold color with white typography.   It comes in a clear tub with a rose gold screw cap with the Sol Body written on it in gold and the cap is in rose gold.  It also has a barrier between the lid and the actual product which makes it sanitary and secure if you take it with you when traveling.  The consistency is beautiful.  They were not lying about their claim of having a balmy texture and consistency.  One thing I noticed is that, the Dark shade seemed to be a tad stiffer than the Medium Dark shade.  But overall, once applied, I did see any difference between the two.  They are easy to apply on the skin and they blend nicely on top of foundations.  Since it is bronzing balm, it does enhance your skin tone and it provides a natural sun-kissed glow.  I've only used this on my face and loved it (I'm not into body makeup).  It is long-wearing and it did not make my skin look oily at the end of the day.  It also did not make my skin look muddy.  Some cream bronzers do at the end of the day.  I didn't notice any oxidation happening.  There is very little difference between the Medium Dark and Dark shade, as shown on my swatches under natural light without any filters.  So far, I've been using the Dark shade and loving it.

I highly recommend this bronzing balm.   Not only it is affordable, but I love it way more than the Soleil Tan De Chanel.  It comes in seven different shades that can accommodate light to deeper skin tones.
