Review:  This might sound redundant but I will write this introduction again as I did in my previous review, just in case this is your first time here.  I wrote a little bit more information about LYS Beauty on my review of the Triple Fix Serum Foundation.  If you would like to read it again, please click here.

All of their products are packaged in a white triangular box with small triangular cut outs and black typography.  The brand is printed in a nude pink color and half of the box also have the nude pink color in a diagonal design.  The actual color of the translucent powder is printed on the side of the box.  The compact is made of a sturdy reflective plastic in rose gold.  While it is made out plastic, it has a nice weight to it.  It does not feel cheap at all.  It also has a mirror.  The compact has a magnetic closure which I love.   There are four translucent shades available and I picked up the shade Brilliance was described as a banana color.

I'm going to be honest with you, it has hard to find a good banana powder shade this is why I typically get a translucent or universal shade.   Some are really yellow and it is not flattering at all.  Also, for a translucent powder, I prefer loose ones than pressed.  I picked this up because the banana color looked perfect online and guess what, it is in person.  You can see on the photo below (a full face of LYS Beauty products except for the Serum Gripping Primer - I tested that on a different day), that it is brightening underneath the eye area.  It is very complimentary on my skin tone.  However, up close, the powder did not apply the way I had hoped to underneath the eye areas.  It wasn't bad; but it wasn't like how my loose powders performed either.  Let me tell you this, pressed powders don't do well underneath the eye area for me since I have a normal/dry skin tone.  I use this powder to lightly dust all over the face to set (if needed) and it is beautiful.  So I love that it actually works on the other areas of my face so it wasn't a deal breaker.  If you are purchasing this as an under eye setting powder, it is going to be your personal choice whether pressed or loose if your preferred formula.  I bet if this was a baked formula, it would perform well underneath the eyes and all over the face.  Now, just because it didn't work for me under the eyes doesn't mean it won't for you.  I still recommend this powder because it is long-wearing and it really does apply beautifully on the skin.  It is easy to blend and the banana color is perfection.  Plus, at $18 this an awesome deal.
